Our Stallion

Tui's Nimrod

SIRE OF EXCEPTIONAL FOALS THAT BECOME AMAZING HORSES

Tui's Nimrod is a true Galloway type backed by a strong performance pedigree. His progeny excel in dressage, eventing, showing, halter, polocrosse, pony club and family pleasure.

Bred in New Zealand Tui's Nimrod is an ideal choice for cross breeding to produce multi purpose family ponies and horses. His pure bred offspring are classy and intelligent with a curious, sociable temperament, comfortable paces and the ability to master whatever is asked of them.

The horses we have produced by Nimrod have exceptional feet (all bare foot), sound conformation and athleticism. Their new owners continue to praise them.

Shown by Sue and Duncan Terry, Tui's Nimrod proved himself as a successful performance Galloway stallion with Supremes and Championships; Ridden and at Halter in both Breed and Open classes. His temperament and trainability allowed him to excel whatever his task, with his show career culminating in winning Ridden Galloway Stallion at the Royal Melbourne Show in 2003.

Nimrod has retired from showing and shines as a Granny's pleasure mount and confidence teacher for beginners. When not involved in stud duties he lives with our geldings.

Our Mares

Mt Tawonga Tanjil

Sire: Marvelous Encore
Dam: Mt. Tawonga Miss Mary
D.O.B. 06/12/1996

Tanjil is a full sister to Mt Tawonga Tarraji, Mt Tawonga Genevieve, Red Bluff Tara, Red Bluff Tatiana, Red Bluff Townsend and Red Bluff Talisman.

Until we purchased her in November 2006 Tanjil spent her time running with the herd at Mt Tawonga Morgan stud and producing six quality foals – Eiben’s Adventurous, Eiben’s Penny, Manna Wood Hope, Mt Tawonga Justice, Mt Tawonga Harmony and Mt Tawonga Heather.

Although we primarily bought Tanjil to be a brood mare, I couldn’t resist the opportunity of riding her as she is the first Morgan I have owned. I went from being impressed by Morgan horses to being addicted as in less than four hours training spread out over three weeks I was riding her along rough bush tracks. Under saddle Tanjil is calm, confident and willing with incredibly comfortable paces.

Mt Tawonga Folie

Sire: Mt Tawonga Tarraji
Dam: Wood Run Trillium
D.O.B. 23/12/2003

We chose Folie as she possesses all the qualities we admire in a Morgan horse. She has intelligence, style, athleticism, classic movement and just loves to be with people.

Folie performs kindly under saddle, although her ridden work is limited since joining our brood mares. She's still well mannered when ridden with foal at foot. Folie's blood lines and type combine well with Nimrod.

Folie's bloodlines and type will combine well with Nimrods and we look forward to their future offspring.

Poppy

Red Roan
D.O.B. 2001

I bought Poppy as an unbroken four year old when her stocky conformation, Haflinger style looks and friendly nature appealed to me.

Our students have enjoyed being part of her training and she has proved to be a confident, willing trail horse. Crossing her solid 13.2 hands with the stylish Tui’s Nimrod produces a very desirable family pony.
